Advanced Cardio Boxing Trainings Tips

Cardio Kickboxing Classes
If you are looking to kick and punch your way through a workout that really allows you to test your endurance and strength, you might be ready to try advanced cardio boxing. This type of training can be pretty intense, but it can also help you achieve fitness levels that you never thought possible. Advanced cardio boxing training programs are the latest fitness craze that is here to stay. This type of fitness program not only focuses on strength, balance and coordination, but is also offers many healthy benefits. With a mix of finesse and cardio workout, you get the best of both worlds. However, these kind of training program exercises are not for those that aren’t already physically fit (read more on livestrong).

Making the most of your advanced cardio boxing training is all about remembering these easy tips:

Remember to Stretch
Since cardio boxing is full of many different movements, it is essential that you take the time to prepare your body for each and every workout. All of these movements that you will be performing during cardio boxing can pose a threat of injury if your muscles are not loose. If you want to limit the risk of injury, you need to make stretching a priority. This complicated form of exercise takes time to master, but you can’t let that keep you from staying motivated. This training routine is specifically designed to be grueling and difficult to learn. It is challenging, but if you put in the work it is possible to become advanced.

Builds Progressively
Cardio boxing is not something that you learn right away; instead it is designed to build progressively. In an advanced training program more will be thrown at you at once, but you will still have time to build your skills and endurance to levels that are expected. Performing the movements correctly should always be your main concern. Speed is important in cardio boxing, but you still want to hone your skills and focus on technique. Many of these explosive moves that you will be performing are focused in your lower back, elbow, neck, shoulder and other prominent joint areas. Your moves will be explosive, but you will be able to build your strength and muscles over time (more here).

How to Be Safe

Safety should be one of your main concerns when you begin an advanced cardio boxing training program. The best way to stay safe is to remember to go slow and be easy with your kicks and punches in the beginning. When you first begin training, you should not start throwing full kicks and punches right away. In the beginning you can probably borrow some gloves but if you are serious you should bring your own gloves. If you're a boxer that's not a problem of course and if you're not, you can easily get some affordable boxing gloves from brands like Grant worldwide, Ringside, Title or Cleto Reyes. During training you want to stay slow and steadily increase your progress as you become more familiar with the moves. Overextending your joints can lead to injury, but if you start slow and steadily work your way up this injury risk will lessen. If you are performing intense and grueling cardio boxing workouts, you should look to limit your training to only 3 times per week just to be safe.

For Who?

Advanced cardio boxing training is suitable for everybody who's already sporting and physically fit. You can go to the classes with your partner, kids or friends. It's fun but exhausting ;) This kind of condition training is not only perfect for boxers but also for every other sporter. If you are still building up your condition then start easy with these exercises

Manual Or Electric Shaving?

Manual Or Electric Shaving – The Pros & Cons Of Both!

Just like many other Americans, I've started shaving with disposable razor blades until I had enough money to buy my first electric shaver. Over the years, I've bought new electric shavers a few times and now it's time again to buy a new shaver. Of course I can just go to the shop and buy the shaver which will be recommended to me but this time I've been doing a bit more research myself.

And of course, the first question is: should I buy a new electric shaver or maybe a manual shaver? The electric shavers have been improved a lot over the years and even better with the special wet&dry models but a traditional straight or double-edged razor has a very nice smooth shave as well...

Shaving is an ancient practice (wikipedia). With technological advancement, today there is the choice between manual and electric shaving. While manual or electric shaving has been a choice for many years now, wet electric shaving was not a reality till a few years back. Today, even that has been accomplished. Every man has a personal preference when it comes to shaving. Some men are naturally inclined to shave manually while some grow up with electric shavers. What you shall like or choose will certainly be your call. Without personal biases and without opinionating on the subject, here is an objective assessment of manual and electric shaving, taking into consideration the pros and cons of both.

Electric Shaving Pros
  • Electric shaving is faster than manual shaving. Electric shaving is more effective at one swipe which means that you don’t have to shave the same area repeatedly. Electric shavers force the hairs to get erected before cutting them, making for a quick shave at once.
  • Electric shaving is more convenient and it is easier to use an electric shaver almost anywhere, something that is not possible with manual shavers. In other words, electric shavers are portable, certainly more easily.
  • Electric shaving doesn’t call for accessories or essentials, from gels to water.
  • Electric shaving is effective for beards, facial hair, sideburns and mustaches.
  • Electric shaving is also safer as there is almost nil possibility of cuts, nicks or ingrown hairs.

Electric Shaving Cons
  • Electric shaving does not offer an impeccably or spotlessly clean shave. You do not get as close or as smooth a finish as manual razors offer. As a result, you will have to indulge in shaving more often than you normally would.
  • Electric shaving is also more difficult to master. One can easily use an electric shaver but perfecting the motions and getting an effective shave with such devices require practice.
  • Electric shaving is a dry experience which most men don’t like. However, there are some latest models which allow wet shaving, using gel or foam and water.
  • Some electric shavers make a lot of noise, thus making an inconvenient or unpleasant ambience.
  • Electrical shaving requires batteries and you need to buy them again or recharge them as and when needed. The batteries may run out in the middle of a shave.
  • Electric shaving calls for more maintenance, unless there are automated cleaning functions.
  • Electric shaving is costly, much more than what manual shaving demands.

Manual Shaving Pros
  • Manual shaving offers a clean, smooth or close shave.
  • Manual shaving is easier for teenagers and also quite convenient to master.
  • Manual shaving is less expensive. It is almost inexpensive and all materials or parts are easily replaceable. Even buying new kits is a miniscule cost, especially in comparison with electric shaving kits.
  • Manual shaving kits are harmless and they can be carried anywhere. They don’t need any batteries or power outlets. Some gel or foam and some water would be all that you need to shave.

Manual Shaving Pros
  • Manual shaving is painstakingly time consuming. You have to apply the creams, gels, shave and clean your face, the device and then restore all the essentials and accessories.
  • You have to continuously change the blades of the manual shavers. Some blades, depending on the model, can be expensive. But those expensive blades will also last longer.
  • Cuts or bruising, nicks or ingrown hairs are more common with manual shaving.

The Razor e325 Electric Scooter

Looking for a new electric scooter? 'My son has been begging me for over a month to get me an electric scooter and it's not even a bad idea of him ;) I've been doing my research on these scooters and found out that the Razor E325 provides the best specifications for now and for in the future. So, I've bought him this scooter and see here my quick review of it.

In my research I've found that Currie eZip and Razor E325 have electric scooters for kids and they have easily dominated the electric kids scooter market by keeping their products well priced and well built. I've decided to get the Razor E325 and so far it's turned out to be a great gift for my son!

The Razor e325 Electric Scooter is no exception to the Razor reputation. This scooter is Razor's top of the line electric scooter. It has a long battery life which everyone loves, it is well built, reaches top speeds of about 15 miles per hour and overall is a quality built electric scooter. This electric scooter is great for teens and adults.

The maximum weight load is 220 lbs. It will go about 15 mph on flat ground for about 40 minutes. It is a great economical way to get around. The price hovers around $300 but it is well worth the cost. This by far is one of the best electric scooters on the market.

Here's What You Get for $300
  • Easy Hand-operated Front Brake System
  • Ten inch pneumatic tires that are extra wide.
  • Handle bars that fold for easier storage
  • 24V (two 12V) sealed lead acid battery system
  • A Kickstand that retracts
  • 250 W Powerful Motor

Consumer Reviews

Out of 15 consumers that left reviews for the Razor e325 Electric Scooter there was not one complaint about performance. Everyone offered up 5 stars under a 1-5 star review system. One consumer wished that the battery was larger to increase the range but that was the only thing that was reported about this electric scooter that was not completely positive. I've bought a second set of batteries when I bought the scooter and therefore there is always one set fully charged. When my son is using the scooter, the second battery pack is on the charger and can be swapped out by himself when needed.

Some Cautionary Notes

15 MPH may not sound like you are going fast but it is pretty fast for an electric scooter. This is a great model but it is made for smooth surfaces like driveways and sidewalks. It like most electric scooters does not handle well on other types of terrain.

Wearing a helmet while you are utilizing this scooter is pretty much mandatory, it does not take much to be knocked off an electric scooter so head protection is very important. Wearing knee pads and elbow pads is also a very good idea.

It takes about 12 hours of being plugged in to fully charge the Razor e325 Electric Scooter so be sure that you have an area to charge your scooter if you are going to use it to get back and forth to work. This is not a kids toy this is meant for teenagers and adults. It is a powerful scooter that is adult size so if you are looking for an electric scooter for your kid this is not it!

Electric scooters are a great way to get around especially for city living. They are economical and earth friendly modes of transport and since the Razor e325 Electric Scooter (wiki) easily folds up it is easy to take on public transport if you have to! It is a great fun ride for both teenagers and adults. The cost is a little high but it is worth the expense when I see my kids riding with his friends in the neighbourhood.

And that my son is having fun, see him enjoying it and be a great kid, is the best!

My Top 5 Best Electric Kids Scooters

Every time I go for a ride on my motorcycle, my son has been interested in riding as well. Of course, he's still way too young but I'm sure that one day we can ride together!

For the last few years, he's been enjoying his kick scooter a lot but a few friends have an electric scooter and he's asking (begging) me to buy one for him as well. I think he can handle an electric scooter and it will be a nice step towards a motorized scooter in a couple of years. I'm not afraid that he won't move anymore since he's a very sporty boy and not sitting in front of his pc or game computer all the time. I've been doing some research of the best electric scooters and I've come up with a top 5. See whether you agree or maybe you have another model for me to check and add to this list.

The best electric children's scooters all have one thing in common! They are fun! Why would you want to buy your kid an electric scooter? The fun factor is high and they are a great way for them to get around. They are completely safe, they are eco friendly and they are relatively inexpensive.

Electric kids scooters are easy to operate and made especially for children and young adults. The sizes are ideal for kids, the speed ratio is ideal and overall they are a great gift idea.

Razor and Currie Take the Lead

Razor and Currie have quite a few models of electric scooters and all of the models have different driving ranges and top speeds. They are well made and are geared to different age ranges so making the right choice for your kid is easy.

Razor electric scooters

Razor offers three models specifically that easily make the best electric kids scooters list. The following three models are in the top 5 model list for kids scooters.
  • eSpark is ideal for younger kids. The top speed is about 10 mph which can reduce the risk of falls for the new rider. The eSpark is suggested for new riders ages 8 and up but they can easily accommodate children as young as 6. The sparks which can be activated with the special pedal is fantastic for children.
  • E200 is ideal for older kids. It has a maximum weight load of 220 pounds and a maximum speed of 12 mph. This is a great option for the 12 plus set and even for younger kids that have some riding experience.
  • E325 is a powerhouse! This is great for the 12 and up age group that has some experience. It offers everything that the E200 offers AND a more powerful motor that can reach speeds of 15 mph. The E325 is not for the little kids under the age of 12 because it is a powerful electric scooter and can easily get away from a little kid. The E325 also has a maximum weight load of 220lbs. It is a great option for older teens or young adults.
Curries Technologies electric scooters
  • The Currie eZip 500 is a popular model as well and makes it to the top 5 best electric kids scooters list BUT it really is not for little kids; it is for teens and young adults. What makes this a stand out model is that the front suspension offers up a much smoother ride. It also has a powerful engine that can reach speeds of 15 mph. It is a well built scooter that has a range of about 12 miles. It can carry up to 260 pounds. The tires are a generous 12 inches. The cost reflects the “extras”.

  • Currie also offers a Nano eZip model that is less faster than the eZip 500 at 12 MPH it is a truly practical way for kids to get around. Just like some of the other electric kids scooters models this has a fully padded seat. It is recommended for children 13 years of age and up.
So this is my top 5 list of electric scooters. Since I want my son to use it for quite a few years, I want to get him something decent and not just a toy which will boring in a weeks time. Therefore I'm thinking of buying the Razor E325 for him. Of course I need to get a helmet for him and maybe new protection. If you have any thoughts or other recommendations, please let me know! Thanks!

How To Eat Less Sugar

If you are wondering how to eat less sugar there are a few steps that you will need to take to be able to come off that white addiction. Sugar like anything else can be addictive. People will go to extremes to get their sugar fix.

Sugar is not a necessary nutrient. In other words your body does not need sugar it is simply empty calories. Some sugar is fine but most people get all the sugar that they need from a healthy diet WITHOUT adding in the sugary treats.

Most all natural food contains some sort of sugar but in reality it is not those sugars that are the problem it is the sugar that we add to our drinks and our foods that cause the issues and is very addictive (bbc). A diet that has an excessive amount of sugar is a bad diet that will pack on the pounds. If you want to know how to eat less sugar continue reading.

Recognize What Sugar Is

Manufacturers can be a little tricky with their labels. If you want to start cutting out sugar from your diet than you need to be able to recognize the words that are used to hide some sugar in your food. Words that also mean there is sugar in your food include:

·      Sucrose, Glucose, High Fructose, Lactose, Turbinado, Sorghum Syrup, Corn Syrup, Caramel, Carob Syrup, Dextrin, Maltodextrin, Barley Malt, Beet Sugar, Cane Juice, Golden Syrup, Dehydrated Cane Juice Syrup, Ethyl Maltyl, Glucose Solids

All of these ingredients are sugar. They are commonly found in a host of pre packaged goods. Understanding what you are eating is half the battle. Once you get the terms under control it is a lot easier to avoid hidden sugars.

Read The Label

Now you have the terms that are used by manufacturers to hide sugar in your food now you have to practice reading the label of everything you eat. Some things are no brainers. Like cut back on candy, chocolate, watch the amount of sugar you use in your coffee or tea but somethings are really quite surprising when you are thinking about how to eat less sugar.

Sometimes things that are supposed to be healthy for you actually contain a tad too much hidden sugar. Reading the label of everything that you put in your mouth can help you to keep your sugar consumption in check.  The average American consumes up to 64 pounds of sugar each year. There is no nutritional benefit to consuming sugar and it can lead to Type II diabetes. Reading the label of everything you eat can help you get out of the sugar loop. Check out these sites (here and here) for more in-depth info.

Healthy Sugars

There are healthier ways to get your sugar fix. Fruits! Fruits have fructose (which is an additive in a lot of pre packaged foods) but it is easily digested by the body and of course it is in the perfect amount because it is all natural! When that sugar craving hits if you want to know how to eat less sugar the answer is to grab something that is good for you like fruit and combine it with yogurt as a great evening snack!

Is Boxing Right For Kids?

If you are not familiar with boxing, it is easy to assume that this sport is a little too dangerous and violent for kids. However, once you learn what boxing is all about, you will quickly learn that this sport is ideal for children of all ages. It might be an individual sport, but there is so much that your child can learn from regular boxing workouts.

You might be a bit hesitant at first, but here is some additional information about the sport of boxing that might ease your mind a bit:

Being Hesitant is Normal

If you are a bit scared or hesitant to put your kid into the world of boxing, you are in the majority. On the outside, boxing seems like a dangerous sport that sort of promotes violence. However, this is not the case at all. Boxing is just as safe as any other sport and it involves teaching your child how to fight in a competitive and responsible manner. If you want to make sure that your child is ready for boxing, there are a few ways you can make safety a priority. Making sure that kids always way the right protective gear and equipment keeps them safe and allows the amount of injuries that occur to be minimized.

Choose the Right Instructor

The best way to ease your mind as a parent is to pick the very best boxing instructor for your child. This will ensure that your child has the supervision that is required to keep them safe at all times. An instructor that is expertly trained has a lot of knowledge that they can teach. Keeping kids that choose to box safe is all about ensuring that they have qualified instructors to show the way. This sport is all about technique and honing skill over time.

Boxing Has Rules

The fact is that kids will not be allowed to just start wailing on each other during training. There are rules and guidelines that must always be followed. It might be a new experience for your child at first, but they will pick up on the rules pretty quickly. Once they learn the rules of boxing, it will be a process over time as they get better with their form and technique.

More Than Just a Workout

The best part about kids partaking in boxing is the boundless benefits that they get access to. Not only is it a great form of exercise (overall condition and muscle strength) but it also helps to build confidence. The right boxing program has the ability to make your child start to believe in their own abilities and skill-set. This sport teaches discipline and goes beyond just physical strength. It is a sport that will teach your child many lessons along the way that can have an impact on their life.

Stay Involved

As a parent, you should always stay involved with the sports that your child participates in. Boxing can be a huge boost for your kid, but you need to put in an effort as well.

Get proper boxing gear

You don't need to buy a full outfit for the first lesson but if your kids likes the workouts and would like to continue to train boxing, then you should not buy the cheapest gloves for him. Get good advice and ask the instructor what kind of boxing gloves he would need. You can get more info about boxing gear for recommended brands like Grant Worldwide, Cleto Reyes, Title and Everlast. What is important is that his hands are protected good enough to start with sparring and bag trainings. There are so many different types of boxing gloves available so make sure to get proper advice. And remember that your kid and you have to enjoy the sport as well!
